I’m having problems donating

Donation websites are sometimes targeted to test payments using fraudulent cards. The security of payments is our top priority and in partnership with our payments processor, Stripe, we have implemented strict safeguarding policies to protect against fraud. We therefore have a higher threshold for payments to be accepted than some other websites. Please see the list of reasons above which might be causing the payment to not be accepted.

Common reasons for why payments are not accepted:

  • Mismatch of postcode in the donation form to the postcode registered to the card
  • Incorrect CVC code
  • 3D security authentication failure
  • Insufficient funds in the account
  • The bank may have blocked the payment (particularly if donating from

Please ensure the data is entered correctly or please try contacting your bank if the problem persists.

We have found that payments sometimes fail due to a mismatch between the address in the iPhone/Android wallet and the address registered with the bank. Please check your card’s billing address in your [Apple/Google] Pay wallet matches the address your bank has, and then try again.
