Is Gift Aid claimed on behalf of charities for donations received online?

Charities can authorise the Big Give to claim Gift Aid on their behalf. To do so, you will need to go to ‘account’ and ‘claim Gift Aid’ in the charity portal to complete the HMRC Authorisation form. The Big Give can only claim Gift Aid for charities from the point the form is completed. If a charity does not authorise the Big Give to claim Gift Aid for them, they will need to claim it themselves in-house. For charities that authorise the Big Give, there will be a 3% admin fee charged on any Gift Aid applicable for charities that have authorised the Big Give to claim Gift Aid for them. This will be deducted from the donation before it is paid out to the charity The Big Give will submit the Gift Aid claims after the campaign has ended.
