Our success is measured by the voices of our charity partners. In the 2024 Christmas Challenge, over 1,000 organisations shared how the campaign strengthened their resilience, built skills, increased visibility, and boosted overall satisfaction.

Big Give, in partnership with WaterBear, South Wind Blows and the Environmental Funders Network, launched a groundbreaking initiative in 2024: Earth Raise – a bold step toward becoming the annual, defining moment for environmental fundraising in the UK.

To mark the beginning of this transformative movement, we hosted a launch party featuring an exclusive evening of music, culture, and impact on World Earth Day 2025. The event unveiled our vision and rallied key supporters to drive lasting change for environmental causes.

We were overjoyed to gather with friends, partners, and Champions at our 2024 Christmas Challenge celebration event. Together, we reflected on the incredible stories of impact and the life-changing work of our charity partners. Thanks to their dedication and the generosity of thousands of donors, an extraordinary £44.7 million was raised for 1,267 brilliant charities. Our deepest gratitude to the Foundling Museum for hosting us in such an elegant and historic venue, adding a perfect touch of magic to the evening.

The 2025 Women and Girls Match Fund raises £2.3m for 217 charities empowering women and girls, generating 9,545 public donations. Big Give’s inaugural Small Charity Week campaign, launched in partnership with Global’s Make Some Noise and NCVO, raises £1.8m for 189 small charities supporting communities across the UK. Champions for Children by The Childhood Trust raises over £4.4m for 86 charities working to alleviate the impact of poverty on children across London. Big Give’s Green Match Fund raises over £8.1m for 307 environmental charities, generating more than 36,000 donations.

Beginning a new chapter for environmental giving, the Green Match Fund is rebranded to Earth Raise – a bold new name for a bold new chapter. Find out more about Earth Raise Live The Myanmar Earthquake Appeal raises £658,270 to provide critical care and reach the most vulnerable in Myanmar. The 2025 Arts for Impact campaign raises £2.7m for 286 impactful arts and culture charities, generating over 13,000 public donations. Big Give’s Christmas Challenge has become the UK’s biggest public fundraising campaign in 2024 after raising a record-breaking £44.7 million in just one week, marking a remarkable 35% increase from last year’s total of £33 million. In collaboration with the Disaster Emergencies Committee, just under £690,000 is raised for the Middle East Humanitarian Appeal between October and December 2024. The Women and Girls Match Fund raises over £2.1m in support of 189 exceptional charities dedicated to serving the women and girls in our communities, fostering a future where every individual can thrive without limitations. Champions for Children by The Childhood Trust raises over £5m for 84 charities, supporting 185,890 vulnerable children in London. Kind²Mind raised £2.1m for 160 charities offering valuable services to address, prevent, research, treat, campaign and raise awareness about mental health as part of their work. The Green Match Fund raises over £6.3 million for 247 participating charities. Arts for Impact raises £2.8m for 238 high impact arts and culture organisations. The Christmas Challenge raises £33m for 1077  high-impact charites working across the UK and overseas. The Women & Girls Match Fund raises £1.2m for 133 fantastic charities. Champions for Children 2023, by The Childhood Trust, raises £3.5 million for 84 participating charities. Kind2Mind 2023 (formerly The Mental Health Match Fund) raises £1,5 million for 182 participating charities. The Green Match Fund 2023 raises over £4.3 million for 178 charities. In collaboration with the Disaster Emergencies Committee, £2 million is raised for the Turkey-Syria Earthquake Appeal. The Christmas Challenge 2022 raises a record-breaking £28.6 million for 1021 charities, in a tough economic climate. The pilot campaign for the Mental Health Match Fund raises over £316,000 for 7 charities. Champions for Children 2022, by The Childhood Trust, raises over £3 million for 81 participating charities. The Christmas Challenge 2020 raises £20.1m for 764 charities, the largest ever campaign run by Big Give. Emergency match fund for global communities affected by COVID-19 raises £474,000. Champions for Children match funding campaign tackling food poverty amongst children in London, run in partnership with Childhood Trust raises over £3.6 million. Emergency match fund for UK communities affected by COVID-19, in partnership with the National Emergencies Trust, raises over £1.3 million. Christmas Challenge 2019 raises £15.6m for 587 charities. Emergency match fund for Cyclone Idai raises over £540,000. The Christmas Challenge 2018 raises £13.3m for 589 charities. Emergency match fund for communities affected by the Indonesian Tsunami raises over £378,000. Philanthropy in Schools programme closes after schools raise over £50,000 for charity since 2010. ‘Summer Give’ match funding campaign for vulnerable London school children run in partnership with Childhood Trust raises £1,002,433. Thanks to the kindness of supporters, we’re able to continue doubling the difference. Through our Anchor Match Fund, Big Give is using additional funds raised from voluntary tips to provide match funding to our charity partners. Doubling the difference onwards to support charities in their efforts to raise money for good causes.

We are thrilled that our Chairman, James Reed, has been awarded a CBE for his outstanding services to business and charity. His dedication and hard work have truly made an impact in the world of recruitment, Big Give and beyond. In 2024, James received the prestigious Spear’s Impact Award for his commitment to philanthropy.
