Match funding for London’s most vulnerable children

The first ever summer match funding campaign took place from 1st to 5th June 2015 in partnership with the Childhood Trust. The campaign raised a brilliant £527,627 for the 18 charities who took part. The first day of the campaign was launched on International Children’s Day.

Projects funded were all focussing on working directly with vulnerable children in London who faced increased instability during the school holidays. Extra support during the holidays helped ensure they did not return to school in September having taken two steps back as a result of no structure or support for six weeks. Most importantly, these projects also helped provide a much needed safety net for the children who were at risk from being courted by the gangs that control too many of London’s estates.
