A letter to our charity partners, stakeholders and friends.
After much thought and careful consideration with our partners at Figurative, we have made the difficult decision to pause the Arts for Impact campaign for 2027. This means that there will not be a dedicated Arts for Impact campaign next year as we take the time to review, plan and reassess for 2028.
When launching and running a match funding campaign, we always consider three key factors:
- Match funding: Can we secure sufficient funding and partnerships with values-aligned organisations to make the campaign successful and support a large pool of impactful charities?
- Sector need: Are there any similar opportunities already available to charities?
- Big Give’s capacity: As a small but dedicated team of 11, and a charity ourselves, do we have the resources to deliver the campaign and the support you deserve?
Unfortunately, securing the necessary funding and support for Arts for Impact has proved especially challenging this year. Without the confidence that we can deliver the campaign, we feel that pausing is the most responsible decision.
We know this may be disappointing, but we want to assure you that our commitment to supporting the arts sector remains as strong as ever. We are actively exploring ways to ensure we can continue Arts for Impact in 2028, and are interested in speaking to funders who would be interested in partnering, or potentially connecting us to those who are in a position to make this happen.
In the meantime, we encourage applications from arts charities for both our 2027 Small Charity Week and Christmas Challenge. To find out more about our 2027 campaigns, explore our campaign calendar.
Thank you for your understanding and support,
Alex Day
